Valentine Mini Sessions

What a great weekend we had doing Valentine Minis!  I thoroughly enjoyed working with all the families and the weather was AMAZING!  Here is a little peak at some of the fun!  XOXO

What's in the Name???

When I decided I wanted to turn my love for photographing children and families into a business, one of the first decisions was what I would call my business.  In my experience with assisting in senior and wedding shoots, and with photographing family, one thing that stood out was how the person in front of the camera felt.  I love to watch a person's self image be transformed by simply catching their beauty, possibly in a way they have not seen in a while.  During this same time, I was also having many conversations with my 8 year old daughter about her "self image"... crazy I know... an 8 year old has a "self image", but this is reality.  As an adult it is easier for us to look at her and say that she is beautiful, perfect and should not think of herself any less, but as a child it is harder.  So, we went to the truth of the bible... we focused on key verses and came back to Psalm 139:4 many times... We are ALL fearfully and wonderfully made and we are God's work!  We were made in his image and we should celebrate that!  So, that is what I kept coming back to when deciding on a name... I want to remind people of their beauty, uniqueness and most of all help them remember that they are God's masterpiece and His works are wonderful!  

So I decided on Project 139 Photography...

Snowy days make for awesome photo days!

We were able to take advantage of this amazingly, beautiful day in Evergreen.  So awesome that this is right outside our back door!  Thanks to my beautiful, sweet daughter for always being a willing model!
